Kingswood Accommodation commenced trading on March 6th 1988 offering three properties for rental to the general public. In those days properties for rental were far less available as most landlords were either successful businessmen, relatives leaving homes in their wills and a few relocations.  The market place was completely different than it is today as it is now quite commonplace for people to own a property for the purpose of renting. In a very short space of time, the business grew rapidly as landlords quickly discovered that empty properties could bring in a welcomed revenue for them. However the present financial climate has seen a fall in the "Buy to Let" market with many investors staying away from the rental market despite a rise in rents

Within 12 months Kingswood Accommodation moved to it's first offices in Regent Street Kingswood, hence the name "Kingswood Accommodation" and continued to let residential properties to the ever increasing amount of tenants looking for a home. In the 1980's with the explosion of house prices, many young people found themselves priced out of the market place - sounds familiar ! Over the next three years as the business grew larger, Kingswood Accommodation had to find bigger premises and moved to the High Street in Hanham where for a period of another three years continued to prosper. In March 1994 Kingswood Accommodation moved once again to larger premises which had a showroom area and two further offices above on the first floor. Today it has a new home at 51a High Street Hanham Bristol which houses the new company. Hopefully we will be as successful in these offices as we have been in all the others

Initially the business exploded with a new prominent position in the High Street and despite two competitors opening business's this only seemed to help Kingswood Accommodation thrive. (Both of those business's have now ceased trading). Year upon year Kingswood Accommodation has grown not only in turnover but more importantly in the number of Landlords and tenants and after 22 years of trading, we are extremely proud of this.

During the early 1990's it seemed to be fashionable for many estate agents to call themselves property managers and often equipped with poorly trained staff. This once again has only helped Kingswood Accommodation experience a good rate of growth and during the last three years has seen the largest increase in the number of landlords for whom it acts.

In November 2011 the company became Kingswood Accommodation (South West) Limited with both Gloria and Stephen Seymour the original partners still actively involved in the running of the company. It will still trade under its original name of Kingswood Accommodation.
